What makes Hand Over Hand different is our unique approach to ABA therapy. Children receive individualized treatment in a dedicated classroom within an integrated preschool setting, giving them opportunities to build skills while learning alongside peers.
For more than 12 years, our team has taken the time to understand each child’s strengths, learning style, and areas where additional help may be beneficial. Before therapy begins, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets with your family and completes a comprehensive assessment. The information gathered is used to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your child’s needs.
Therapy combines individualized instruction with familiar preschool experiences. Children practice new skills during play and classroom activities, with the level of guidance adjusted as they become more independent.

Sonam is the Associate Vice President of Clinical Operations at Hand Over Hand and has been a valued member of the organization since 2016. Over the years, she has grown within the company, serving in a variety of clinical and leadership roles, including Home Program BCBA, Director of Home Program and Data Analysis, and now overseeing three of Hand Over Hand’s centers. Sonam became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2014 after earning her master’s degree from Rowan University. With extensive experience in clinical operations and program leadership, she is passionate about supporting high-quality care and helping both clients and staff thrive.
A child may need different types of help at home, in daycare, at school, or around other children. Our clinical team uses the assessment findings to recommend treatment priorities, weekly hours, and the setting that may best fit your child.
Nearby Integrated ABA Centers combine individualized teaching with access to familiar preschool activities. Children may practice communication, transitions, play, and classroom participation according to their treatment plan
In-home sessions may focus on communication, dressing, meals, hygiene, play, bedtime, or sibling interactions. Working within the home allows our clinicians to develop strategies around situations your family regularly experiences.
School can present different routines, expectations, and social demands than home. Our consultation services help educators understand what may be affecting the child’s participation and identify practical ways to respond

Your journey with Hand Over Hand begins with a personal conversation. Our Family Liaison takes the time to connect with you, learn about your child, and answer any questions you may have before anything else begins.
Once we have connected, we will guide you through the necessary paperwork so that the logistics are handled quickly and easily. Our goal is to make this step as simple as possible so services can move forward without delay.
Before we begin, we contact your insurance provider to obtain approval to assess your child. Once authorized, we can move forward with scheduling the in-person portion of the assessment.
Our clinical team spends dedicated time with your child conducting an in-person assessment, while also meeting with your family to understand your goals and priorities. From there, we develop individualized goals and a personalized treatment plan built specifically around your child.
Once the treatment plan is complete, we submit everything to your insurance provider for authorization, handling the process on your behalf so there are no unnecessary delays before therapy begins.
With all the pieces in place, it is time for the most exciting step. Your child begins therapy and your family becomes part of the Hand Over Hand community.
