At Hand Over Hand, we believe your child’s experience should never look or feel different because of an autism diagnosis. Our Florham Park center was built around that belief. For over 12 years, we have been refining a program that brings expert ABA therapy, play-based learning and modern teaching practices together in one place. Every child who walks through our doors is celebrated for who they are and guided with intention toward real progress.
Here is what families can expect when they choose Hand Over Hand for ABA therapy in Florham Park:

Your journey with Hand Over Hand begins with a personal conversation. Our Family Liaison takes the time to connect with you, learn about your child, and answer any questions you may have before anything else begins.
Once we have connected, we will guide you through the necessary paperwork so that the logistics are handled quickly and easily. Our goal is to make this step as simple as possible so services can move forward without delay.
Before we begin, we contact your insurance provider to obtain approval to assess your child. Once authorized, we can move forward with scheduling the in-person portion of the assessment.
Our clinical team spends dedicated time with your child conducting an in-person assessment, while also meeting with your family to understand your goals and priorities. From there, we develop individualized goals and a personalized treatment plan built specifically around your child.
Once the treatment plan is complete, we submit everything to your insurance provider for authorization, handling the process on your behalf so there are no unnecessary delays before therapy begins.
With all the pieces in place, it is time for the most exciting step. Your child begins therapy and your family becomes part of the Hand Over Hand community.
We understand that starting ABA therapy comes with many questions and concerns.
Our team takes the time to understand your child’s needs, verify your insurance coverage, and make sure every detail is in place before ABA therapy begins.
Building trust and open communication from the start is our priority, so you feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead.
If your child struggles with communication, behavior, social skills, or daily routines, ABA therapy offers structured, individualized support. We begin with an assessment and in-depth conversation to understand your child’s needs and determine the best path forward together.
Our integrated ABA therapy model within a traditional preschool educational setting is unique to the industry. Additionally, our early-intevention approach focuses not just on skill-building, but how those skills show up in everyday life. Highly personalized and rooted in compassionate care, everything we do is focused on support for both this child and his/her family every step of the way.
We offer flexible options including in-home ABA therapy, center-based programs, and school support based on what works best for your child. Our goal is to provide care in the environments where your child can learn and thrive most naturally.
We put families first. Parents and caregivers are an essential part of a child’s progress, and we pride ourselves on the relationships we develop with them. We provide ongoing communication, guidance, and training so you feel confident supporting your child outside of sessions. You’re not just included, you’re a key part of the team.
Every child’s progress is unique, so tracking progress will differ. For some, it might be improved communication or stronger social interactions, while others may develop greater independence. We use data-driven methods to track growth, always prioritizing meaningful, real-life outcomes that are truly important to your family.
