Hand over Hand’s
Approach to ABA Therapy
Hand over Hand’s centers operate out of dedicated spaces within private preschools, allowing us to provide individualized and high quality clinical care within a typical childcare setting.
Hand over Hand pioneered this approach after identifying a gap in the market between self-contained ABA centers and individual therapists shadowing children in schools. Our integrated approach has offered families and their children a welcoming and natural environment with excellent clinical quality for 10+ years.
With the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), children have the opportunity to learn from and interact with peers in real-world settings.
The Hand Over Hand Difference
Hand Over Hand has established preschool partnerships so that your child and your family’s experience doesn’t feel any different just because there is an autism diagnosis. We believe meaningful progress happens through collaboration, compassion, and consistency. Our team works closely with parents, caregivers, and educators to support each child’s growth, breaking down complex skills into achievable steps so progress feels steady and encouraging.

Personalized Roadmap
While every child’s path looks different, our commitment and care remain the same – to create a tailored plan that supports development and progress. Our primary goal is to meet your child’s potential.
Our Approach to ABA Therapy
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated, evidence-based therapy most commonly used to support individuals with autism. It focuses on improving a child’s ability to socialize, communicate, and learn by identifying specific behaviors and reinforcing progress in a structured, measurable way.
At Hand Over Hand, our approach to ABA therapy is inclusive, individualized, and collaborative. We believe meaningful progress is achieved by thoughtfully balancing evidence-based strategies with a deep, holistic understanding of each child.
Because the goal isn’t just progress in therapy, it’s progress at home, in school, and in the world around them.

What Our Parents Are Saying
Getting Started With Hand Over Hand
Your journey with Hand Over Hand begins with a personal conversation. Our Family Liaison takes the time to connect with you, learn about your child, and answer any questions you may have before anything else begins.
Once we have connected, we will guide you through the necessary paperwork so that the logistics are handled quickly and easily. Our goal is to make this step as simple as possible so services can move forward without delay.
Before we begin, we contact your insurance provider to obtain approval to assess your child. Once authorized, we can move forward with scheduling the in-person portion of the assessment.
Our clinical team spends dedicated time with your child conducting an in-person assessment, while also meeting with your family to understand your goals and priorities. From there, we develop individualized goals and a personalized treatment plan built specifically around your child.
Once the treatment plan is complete, we submit everything to your insurance provider for authorization, handling the process on your behalf so there are no unnecessary delays before therapy begins.
With all the pieces in place, it is time for the most exciting step. Your child begins therapy and your family becomes part of the Hand Over Hand community.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if ABA therapy is right for my child?

What does progress look like, and how is it measured?
Hand over Hand tracks progress through quantitative and qualitative data that is taken during all therapy sessions. Parents receive full access to their children’s programming and data, allowing them to track their child’s development over time.
